Introducing John Hamshare, Event Manager for RotorTech and AeroExpo

Following 30 years in the civil aviation business, John Hamshare is the new Event Manager in charge of coordinating the development and organisation of AeroExpo and RotorTech.

I was very happy to be invited to join the team at AvBuyer and to take on the many and varied challenges of organising such well-established and well-respected events as AeroExpo and RotorTech. There is a lot to learn, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.

This year we are holding the events at a new venue, Cotswold Airport, and recently I was privileged to visit the airport and to meet the airport management team and some of my event colleagues face-to-face for the first time.

I also met some of the experienced and capable senior aircraft marshallers, of the North Weald Marshalling Team, who had many an interesting tale to tell from their extensive repertoire of event marshaling.

We met in the very comfortable surroundings of the AV8 restaurant followed by a tour of the event site, including the hangars and the recently converted Boeing 747.

The airport management team were extremely welcoming and helpful. They were also very knowledgeable, and I know that with their support we will be able to provide an excellent experience for all our visitors, whether they arrive by car or aircraft.

The event team is working incredibly hard to ensure that our visitors and exhibitors have a great time at the event, and I look forward to perhaps meeting you there.
