HeliGroup delivers first Guimbal Cabri G2 since becoming UK distributor
HeliGroup Ltd are delighted to have delivered their first Guimbal Cabri G2 since becoming the UK & Ireland distributor for Hélicoptères Guimbal.
The aircraft, serial 1185 from the factory in southern France, is equipped with the increasingly-popular Aspen Avionics EFD1000 Primary Flight Display System which provides the following:-
- An Attitude Display Indicator with tape-style Altimeter and Airspeed Indicator. To better fit the common ab-initio training mission, mechanical ASI and Altimeters are retained standard on the Cabri and the tape-style instrument could be shown or not.
- An Horizontal Situation Indicator with multiple GPS/VOR inputs and traffic awareness displays linked to ADS-B or FLARM.
These highly-customizable panels make the Cabri G2 well-adapted to both ab-initio professional training while also allowing a direct transition from ground to twin turbine, glass cockpit helicopters.
The new owner of serial 1185 – A Woodward Aviation Ltd – will base it at Wycombe Air Park. When the owner is not flying it, the aircraft will be available to Helicopter Services Ltd for flight training and self-fly hire, becoming the third Cabri G2 in their fleet. The aircraft takes the UK fleet to an impressive 26, with more to follow through 2017.
HeliGroup are the UK distributors for Hélicoptères Guimbal through their investment in European Helicopter Importers Ltd. The company fleet includes a new AW109SP GrandNew, Airbus AS355s and Cabri G2 helicopters as well as a range of additional types.
