UK – Cardinal Helicopter Services gain operator licence

Cardinal Helicopter Services have recently been awarded their own “Type B Operating Licence” according to the latest update in the snappily-named “Official Record, Series 2” issued by the UK CAA.  Previously Cardinal operated under an “umbrella arrangement” with another operator, Capital Aviation Services of Oxford.

Cardinal operate from the City Heliport at Manchester, a rotary-wing facility within “City Airport & Heliport Manchester”, a small grass runway aerodrome on the western edges of England’s second largest city by population size.  This airfield, and Cardinal themselves, are owned by Peel Holdings, a privately-owned real estate, media, transport and infrastructure investment company.

Cardinal operate a single Sikorsky S.76C++ registered G-PACO and further information is available on their website.
